Discussion will include basic instruction about how to handle animal hoarding cases and understanding mental illness associated with animal hoarding. The impact hoarding cases have on field responders, shelter resources, and the community will also be reviewed.  The session will also include how to facilitate large scale impounds, what risks are involved with these cases, and what successful interventions are available.
